New Features & Updates on EmechNET.org

We’ve been quietly working behind the scenes to improve the EmechNET website experience, both for our users and our administrative team. Today, we’re excited to roll out a set of new features and improvements that make the platform more powerful, secure, and content-friendly than ever.

Introducing Admin Columns

We’ve added a brand-new Admin Columns section — a dedicated space where EmechNET administrators can publish articles, industry insights, technical deep dives, and opinion pieces.

This allows us to share more high-quality content directly with the community and keep you updated on everything happening across technology, networking, and IRC development.

Removed Obsolete Live Stats Monitor

The old Live Stats Monitor has officially been retired. It relied on outdated back-end logic and was no longer serving its purpose. Removing it helps streamline the website and reduces unnecessary load.

A more modern replacement will be considered in the future.

Admin Panel Improvements

We’ve fixed the previously broken Manage Admins link inside the Admin Panel. Administrators can now properly manage roles, accounts, and permissions without any navigation issues.

New Rich Text Editing Tools

Creating content on EmechNET just became a lot more expressive. We’ve added several new features to the News and Columns editors, including:

• Adjustable text size

• Strikethrough formatting

• Lists (ordered + unordered)

• Text alignment options

• Censor/Redaction formatting (█)

• Text color selection

• Built-in emoji picker

These tools allow for better article formatting and a more engaging reading experience.

🔐 2-Factor Authentication for Admins

To further strengthen security, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is now available for all website administrators.
Admins can now enable 2FA to better protect their accounts and safeguard the EmechNET back-end from unauthorised access.

We've added Live Servers Status, Live Services Status, Channels /List, official Channels list and New NavBar.
