Uptime and Netsplits.*
Hello everyone,
We wanted to update you on a few technical issues that some of you might have noticed recently with our IRC (Internet Relay Chat) services. Over the past few days, we've been facing some unexpected connection instability and have experienced occasional netsplits on our IRC network.
What’s Happening?
For those not familiar, a netsplit is when different parts of the IRC network temporarily disconnect from each other, causing users to appear offline to others or preventing them from communicating across the network. While these disruptions can be frustrating, rest assured that our team is on it, working to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
We've been actively investigating the root causes of these connection issues, and we're confident that the situation will stabilise very soon. We’re implementing some fixes to ensure the IRC service runs smoothly, so you can get back to chatting, sharing, and connecting without interruption.
Our Commitment
We know how important reliable communication is, especially on IRC, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work to bring everything back to normal. We're making sure to keep you in the loop, and once everything is sorted out, we’ll post another update to confirm that all services are fully restored.
In the meantime, if you’re encountering any issues or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us through our support channels.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to being back to full strength soon!
Stay tuned for further updates!
Best regards,
The EmechNet Staff
